I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

Oh my gosh, this week has left me exhausted! We visited my Mom on Sunday, like we do almost every week, and picked up some groceries. I spent the rest of the day doing laundry and other fun things around the house. My evenings were packed. I worked Monday and Thursday nights. My daughter and I went to an author event for Jeneva Rose at our local library on Tuesday night, which was pretty crowded. I was away from the house just as long as I would have been if I had worked. To round out my week, I also had a dentist appointment and got 2 of our cars into the shop for their bi-annual inspections so that I can get the plates renewed. I worked all day on Saturday and then went out to dinner with my mom, husband, sister, and her family to celebrate Mother’s Day.

I wasn’t home a lot this week so I didn’t get a chance to cook much. I was home one night and was so exhausted that I decided to skip cooking. Let’s just say that I have not been eating great due to my crazy schedule which is probably not helping matters. I hope to do better this week.

Happy Mother’s Day!

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished 2 audiobooks this week. Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle was a fun romance that put a big smile on my face. I decided to pick up Home Is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose before going to the author event and loved that the story was able to keep me guessing.

I read more of The Night Ends with Fire by K.X. Song and can’t wait to get back to it. It really is a great book! I don’t get a ton of time to read with my eyes these days so I picked up the audiobook of Five Broken Blades by Mai Corland and am loving it!

Books Added

Run by Blake Crouch (Publisher); Sacrificial Animals by Kailee Pedersen (Publisher); The Husbands by Holly Gramazio (Publisher)

  1. Sounds a crazy week! At least some of it was the good kind of crazy! lol. Hopefully this week will be a little tamer and not all over the place!

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

  2. That’s great that your library has author events. I feel like I heard of maybe one by me. We have four libraries in town, you would think they could get something in there. I am glad you got to spend time with your family and celebrate mother’s day. Happy Mother’s Day to you!

  3. Sounds like a busy week! I’m torn between being glad I don’t have to deal with vehicle inspection and wishing we had vehicle inspection when I get stuck behind a car that should be on the road. I hope you’re having a great week and getting some rest!
