I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

Where does the time go?! I am posting this a day late because this past weekend just got away from me. On Saturday, two of my nieces threw a surprise 40th-anniversary party for my sister and her husband. They are about 3.5 to 4 hours away from me. I drove my mom and me to the party and back home. It was a nice party but a lot of driving. We didn’t get home until 1:00 am so it was a very long day.

On Friday, I filled out all of my new hire paperwork for my library job so I guess it is official. I am looking forward to starting. This next week should be a busy one. We leave for Hawaii in just 1 week and I have so much to do! I hope to get completely caught up at work before I leave for 2 weeks and I would love to get the house in tip-top shape. I will do my best but make no promises.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished 3 books again this week. I started a couple of audiobooks but nothing was working for me so I decided to re-read one of my favorite books Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. I picked up the dramatized versions of these audiobooks a while back and was curious. It was fantastic! The cast did such a great job of bringing this book to life. I immediately started the second book in the series One Foot in the Grave which was just as good as the first book. I am now slightly obsessed and want to add a bunch of Graphic Audio audiobooks to my library. I had a great time with Sanctuary by Ilona Andrews and hated to put it down.

I am still leaving This Ordinary Stardust by Alan Townsend on my currently reading list but didn’t pick it up this week. I listened to about 25% of Cuckoo by Gretcher Felker-Martin. It is a good book but it wasn’t what I was in the mood for. I hope to get back to it soon. I am almost done with At Grave’s End by Jeaniene Frost. I think that this is the third time that I have read this book, but the first time via dramatized audio, and I am still loving it.

Books Added

The Match by Sarah Adams (Publisher); I Was a Teenage Slasher by Stephen Graham Jones (Publisher); Middle of the Night by Riley Sager (Publisher)

  1. A new job and a vacation in Hawaii…two awesome things! I hope you have a great week. (And some good books to take on vacation with you.) 😀

  2. Congrats on the library job and woohoo anticipating a Hawaii vacation. Sweet you could get to your sister’s 40th anniversary.
I’ve been enamored with series I love on Graphic Audio, too. Loved Sanctuary!

  3. I just finished the new Sager book over the weekend and hope to post my review soon. I also can’t wait to get to Sanctuary. Congrats on the library job. That’s my dream PT job when I retire some day. Sounds like the party was nice but that was a lot of driving. Hope you have a wonderful vacation!

  4. That is a lot of driving but worth it for such a special occasion. So much to look forward to! New job, amazing trip. I cannot wait to hear all about both.

  5. You got the library job! Congrats!

My internet is finally fixed after 10 days of being without it and I am making my way through everyone’s blog again.

  6. Yay for the library job paperwork and for going to Hawaii! You defintiely more than deserve a relaxing vacation after the last few months. The anniversary party sounds fun but what an exhausting day! I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of Sarah Adams. People seem to either love her books or her books really don’t work for them. I hope you’re having a great week!
