I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
This was not a typical week but it might be what my life will look like for the next few weeks. I spent most of my time either at work or at my mom’s house. I spent the night with her Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday night. I also spent all day Friday at her house. She had an appointment on Tuesday where we learned that her elbow is still not in the right place and surgery has been scheduled for Monday. I hate that we have been waiting around for this surgery for a week and a half. She has been in a lot of pain and can’t even begin to heal until her arm is put back together.
I had thought that I would get a lot of reviews done this week. But I wrote exactly one. Oh well. Life is complicated right now.
I did get some good news from the eye doctor this week and have been told that I can resume normal activities. This means that I can read again. Woo-hoo!
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I was able to finish three audiobooks this week. I always enjoy Jill Shalvis, and her upcoming book, Better Than Friends, met my expectations. I devoured Cold as Hell by Kelley Armstrong. This series seems to keep getting better with each book. In anticipation of the release of Onyx Storm, I decided to do a quick re-read of Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. The Graphic Audio is divided into two parts, and the production is incredibly well done.

I have reached the 60% mark Nemesis by Anna Banks and look forward to seeing how things work out in the end. I have listened to 30% of the second part of the Graphic Audio edition of Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros and am having a great time with the story.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
I wrote a review and I did not even remember writing it…no idea how that happened
Aww. I hope the surgery goes well and is successful for your mom isn’t in pain anymore! It sounds like a painful thing to happen too. And yay for getting the green light to read! Hurray!
Nice new read! That’s a new to me one but I hope you enjoy it!

I hope your mother is in better shape soon. I also devoured Cold as Hell and I think Kelley Armstrong can do no wrong these days. She is really writing books I am enjoying anyway. Take care of yourself too.

I hope the surgery helps and you mom can heal fast from this. I’m glad you’re able to read again.
I am glad you got good news about the eye, but the situation with your mother must be so stressful. I hope all goes well for mom. Shalvis is always great. I happy she continues to churn out books for us.
Yay that you can start reading again! That’s happy news. But I’m so sorry your mom is still is so much pain…and having to wait that long for surgery is awful. What a stressful week for you. I hope her surgery goes well!
