I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
It probably comes as no surprise that I am struggling. Trying to work two jobs, do what needs to be done around the house, be there for my mom, and maintain a book blog is just not sustainable. We are no longer staying overnight with my mom so I had a bit more time this past week. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday ended up being 12-hour days. I started feeling not-so-great on Friday and decided to go to bed at 8:00 pm and slept for 12 hours. I had tons of things that I needed to do on Saturday but I decided to embrace my sickness by taking it easy and watching a couple of movies.
I am not really sure what the future holds. Part of me wants to just quit everything besides my library job. I will definitely be dropping the part-time job once I get caught up and feel okay with how I am leaving things. I don’t think that I want to quit the blog completely but I need to make it feel fun again which will probably happen when I have more time for it.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I was able to finish 2 audiobooks this week. I finished Borne by Jeff Vandermeer the day before I led the discussion in a book group on Wednesday. It was strange but entertaining. I then decided to jump into The Last Guy on Earth by Sarina Bowen which was the distraction I needed from my week.

I still have a long way to go with My Funny Demon Valentine by Aurora Ascher but I am looking forward to getting back to it. I have listened to around a third of Blood Moon by Sandra Brown and can’t wait to see how things will work out.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?

You are a better person than I am. I would have let the part time gig go (unless it was really necessary for me to survive). I hope you get well soon!
Oh no! Don’t overtax yourself! You can always take a break from the blog if it’s necessary! This can wait until things settle down for you. I hope your mom is doing better at least! Rest up and take it easy!
Nice new reads! These are new to ones but I hope you end up enjoying them once you get to read them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I don’t have all those commitments and responsibilities you do and I have been tired most of the time this year. You need to take care of yourself. I fit in rest when I can. It helps me when I limit the time I am out and about. At home, I can do things in my own order and time. I hope you can finish off the old job sooner than later.

Once you quit the part time job and your mom is doing a lot better you might have more time for the blog. Find a way to make it fun again.
Yes sometimes you need to embrace your sickness and take it easy. Rest is important
I felt that. I’m also working two jobs and trying to be a mom, wife, daughter, etc. It’s a lot to balance. I took a really long hiatus from blogging, but I just really missed it and the community. It’s my happy place. I hope you’re able to find a good balance for yourself soon. <3
