I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
I quit my part-time job. When I sat down to work last weekend, I noticed that the invoices being sent out by either the owner or a new employee seemed sloppy and unprofessional to me. What made matters worse is that the reply to email was mine which made it look like I was doing this work. I addressed my concerns and the owner said that this is how they would proceed so I brought the equipment I had back and finally called it quits. It was time. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
You would think that I had time to get a lot of reading done without that other job hanging over my head but I didn’t finish a single thing. I have been more focused on crafts lately. I am in the middle of 2 crocheted blankets and am working on a cross stitch. I decided to set up a sewing area in the spot where I had the computers and stuff for my part-time job. I hope to start making some clothes and maybe tackle quilting. I have big plans!
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I am at the 75% mark in My Funny Demon Valentine by Aurora Ascher. It is kind of silly but I am still enjoying it. I have listened to around 75% of Blood Moon by Sandra Brown and am excited to see how things work out.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Congrats on leaving behind the job! It must feel like a relief to get rid of one burden! Seems weird that they were using your email for replying to others (if understood that right). But glad you relieved yourself of such a stressful situation! And yay for a crafting corner! That’ll be fun!
Nice new reads! This might be the Poston book I finally skip! The last two seemed to have a hint of “magic” going on but this one doesn’t really give off those magical vibes to me. I’ll still look for your review to confirm my suspicions though! Hope you enjoy your new reads!

Old Follower 🙂
Good for you, Carole! I am glad you feel good about your decision and are doing some great things with the extra time. Hope you will post pictures of your work when it’s done.
Glad to hear you quit the part-time gig. I hope you were able to get your email deleted from the system somehow. Crafting pairs very well with audiobooks. I am knitting again and waiting for more gardening weather.

I’m glad you were able to quit the part time job. I’m sure things will be less stressful for you.
Yay for walking away from that job at last! Who needs that kind of frustration and negativity? And I love that you’re setting up a sewing area. I’ve always wanted to do that. Maybe someday. Have a great week! 😀
Good plans. I want to learn how to crochet
