Weekly Wrap Up #449

I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

This was a pretty normal week. I was off on Monday for President’s Day, which was nice even though we were kind of busy. Snow was predicted for Tuesday and Wednesday, and I was hopeful that I would get a snow day or two, but it wasn’t meant to be. The library did have one day that they opened late, but it was the day that I worked the later shift, so I didn’t benefit at all.

I had hoped to make a part of pajama pants on my snow days but since they didn’t happen, I plan to give it a go today. It has been years since I made anything from a pattern so I thought pajama pants would be a great place to start since only me and my husband will see them. I am also eyeing a few quilt patterns.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I was able to scratch 3 items from my tbr this week, which feels like a win. My Funny Demon Valentine by Aurora Ascher was a fun romance that didn’t take itself too seriously. I have been reading Sandra Brown’s writing for a very long time and her newest book, Blood Moon, kept me glued to my headphones. The Knight and the Butcherbird by Alix E. Harrow was an amazing story and a fantastic way to spend my lunch hour.

I have listened to around 40% of The Shots You Take by Rachel Reid and look forward to getting back to it today. It is a second chance romance and I think things will be heating up very soon.

  1. Yeah, sadly I don’t have any off holidays until Memorial Day at work. So I was working Monday. But since I work from home it wasn’t bad! Lol. I was surprised SLCL didn’t close entirely since I saw St. Charles’ libraries did and I thought things were going to be worse further south. But I didn’t really see how much they got in the end either! Good luck with your sewing! I’ve never tried my hand at that myself other than crafty projects and even that’s been a long time since I attempted! Lol.

Nice new read! That’s new to me but I hope you enjoy it!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. I hope you had a chance to work on your pants. My daughter makes all my PJ bottoms. I took home ec in school but was terrible with the sewing. I never tried again. My daughter was amazing. I sent her to FIT for classes and then she majored in costume design. She is still sewing today.
