Stacking the Shelves #38

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
This was really an average week around my house.  My daughter was really busy with Homecoming activities leading up to the dance tonight.  We actually have a really full Saturday planned with watching my daughter march in the homecoming parade, then she competes with her marching band and we will go to help out, and then we have to hurry up and get ready for the dance.  Reading seemed to be rather slow going this week and I hope I can squeeze in some reading time on Sunday.
Digital Books

The Devil Crept In by Ania Ahlborn (NetGalley)
The Heiress and the Hothead by Sabrina Jeffries (NetGalley)
Gone Without a Trace by Mary Torjussen (NetGalley)
The Visitor by Amanda Stevens (Kindle Purchase)
I was so excited to be approved for the new Ania Alhborn book.  I absolutely loved Brother and can’t wait to read more of her work.  I requested the Sabrina Jeffries novella because sometimes I enjoy shorter pieces and I really want to read more of her work.  Gone Without a Trace sounded too good to pass up.  I caught The Visitor on sale for $0.99 so I just had to have it.
What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. I was in Band in high school. I have such great memories of doing the half-time shows. But I also remember it was a lot of work. We actually got out of P.E. if we were in Band! Your books look like fun reads. I mostly got books from my library this week. Have a great weekend.

    • My daughter would love to find a way to get out of PE! She needs to take one more semester to graduate but her schedule is just so full and the summer school spots are very limited. Band is such a great experience for my daughter.

  2. Nice! I don't really remember participating with homecoming in high school myself. But I will say I was pleased that our class representative or whatever chose Peter Pan for our final homecoming "sub theme" as the theme was fairy tales! Hope your daughter has a good time!!

Nice reads too! Totally new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

My STS will be up tomorrow, stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. Reading was unfortunately really slow for me this past week as well. I feel like I'll never catch up. lol! I don't think I ever went to Homecoming…I think the only dance I went to in high school ended up being Prom and I only went because my mom made me. haha! I was a bit of a tomboy.

  4. That Sabrina Jeffries is tempting me and I got Gone Without a Trace too! It looks so good! Sounds like you've had a busy week! Hope you all enjoy homecoming!

  5. Sounds like a busy but awesome day. Boy I remember being in band in high school and it really takes a lot of time and hard work. Hope she is enjoying the experience. See you grabbed The Devil Crept In – good for you!

  6. Busy weekend, but sounds like fun events for your daughter.

Your whole haul looks good. I saw that Amanda Stevens' book too. I'm not familiar with The Devil Crept In, but it looks suitably creepy. 🙂

  7. Ah the life of a mom with a busy student! It truly never ends until they move out. Sigh.

I hope you'll have some time to breathe and read tomorrow!
