I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
This was really an average week around my house. My daughter was really busy with Homecoming activities leading up to the dance tonight. We actually have a really full Saturday planned with watching my daughter march in the homecoming parade, then she competes with her marching band and we will go to help out, and then we have to hurry up and get ready for the dance. Reading seemed to be rather slow going this week and I hope I can squeeze in some reading time on Sunday.
Digital Books
The Devil Crept In by Ania Ahlborn (NetGalley)
The Heiress and the Hothead by Sabrina Jeffries (NetGalley)
Gone Without a Trace by Mary Torjussen (NetGalley)
The Visitor by Amanda Stevens (Kindle Purchase)
I was so excited to be approved for the new Ania Alhborn book. I absolutely loved Brother and can’t wait to read more of her work. I requested the Sabrina Jeffries novella because sometimes I enjoy shorter pieces and I really want to read more of her work. Gone Without a Trace sounded too good to pass up. I caught The Visitor on sale for $0.99 so I just had to have it.
What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

Hope your daughter has a good time at homecoming and you can fit some reading in this weekend. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
I did squeeze a bit of reading time in today…but not as much as I had hoped.
I hope homecoming will be fun for your daughter – both the marching band and the actual dance!
Your new books look great – I don't think I was aware of the Sabrina Jeffries one. Have a wonderful weekend and happy reading.

It was a very busy weekend but my daughter had a lot of fun and that is what it is all about!
I'm waffling on "Gone Without a Trace". I got an auto-approve but I'm not sure if I have time to read it…decisions. Happy reading!
Tsuki’s STS
I almost didn't get it but when I noticed it doesn't come out until April, I decided I should find some time by then to read it.
I was in Band in high school. I have such great memories of doing the half-time shows. But I also remember it was a lot of work. We actually got out of P.E. if we were in Band! Your books look like fun reads. I mostly got books from my library this week. Have a great weekend.
My daughter would love to find a way to get out of PE! She needs to take one more semester to graduate but her schedule is just so full and the summer school spots are very limited. Band is such a great experience for my daughter.
Nice! I don't really remember participating with homecoming in high school myself. But I will say I was pleased that our class representative or whatever chose Peter Pan for our final homecoming "sub theme" as the theme was fairy tales! Hope your daughter has a good time!!
Nice reads too! Totally new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!
My STS will be up tomorrow, stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
My daughter doesn't want to miss out on anything. She will be at every dance and event that she can get herself to! She is such a busy girl but a really good kid. She has been having a blast in high school.
Reading was unfortunately really slow for me this past week as well. I feel like I'll never catch up. lol! I don't think I ever went to Homecoming…I think the only dance I went to in high school ended up being Prom and I only went because my mom made me. haha! I was a bit of a tomboy.
My daughter even went to prom last year and she was only a freshman! She is just having a great time with the whole high school experience and I think it is wonderful! I skipped a few dances myself.
That Sabrina Jeffries is tempting me and I got Gone Without a Trace too! It looks so good! Sounds like you've had a busy week! Hope you all enjoy homecoming!
I went ahead and requested that one since it is a novella. I reasoned that it would be a quick read so it didn't really count. The games I play with myself 🙂
Sounds like a busy but awesome day. Boy I remember being in band in high school and it really takes a lot of time and hard work. Hope she is enjoying the experience. See you grabbed The Devil Crept In – good for you!
I think that band is a lot more work now than when I was in school. It is crazy how much help they need from parents as well. I am really excited about The Devil Crept In – I hope to squeeze it in soonish.
Gone Without a Trance sounds amazing! I'm gonna check it out now 🙂
Check out my STS
I thought it sounds like a really good story. I can't wait to get the chance to read it!
Busy weekend, but sounds like fun events for your daughter.
Your whole haul looks good. I saw that Amanda Stevens' book too. I'm not familiar with The Devil Crept In, but it looks suitably creepy. 🙂
I am so ready to sit down with a creepy read! Soon I hope!
Ah the life of a mom with a busy student! It truly never ends until they move out. Sigh.
I hope you'll have some time to breathe and read tomorrow!
It is a bit better now that she can drive but you are right. I thought it would be easier in high school…but I was very wrong!
All of your new books are new to me. I hadn't heard of them before.

Thanks for stopping by, Grace!
Some great looking books, but The Devil Crept In speaks to me the loudest. LOL Happy reading.

I am really excited to read that one, Sherry!
Ahhh what a pretty one from Jeffries. Loving that series 🙂
I haven't read the series but I think I should be okay going blindly into the novella. I am looking forward to it!
