Stacking the Shelves #93

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.

Yay!  I finally got the quieter week that I have really been wanting.  I went to work everyday and then was able to come home and stay home.  I still didn’t get as much reading done as I would have liked and fell behind with the blog a bit.  We did find out that my daughter earned a seat in the All-Suburban honor band so that was pretty exciting.

Books for Review

Runaway Groom by Lauren Layne (NetGalley)

I grabbed this one as soon as I saw Lauren Layne’s name on the cover.  I am not a huge fan of wedding themes but I enjoyed the first in the series and trust Layne.

Books Purchased

The Wolf Within by Cynthia Eden (Kindle Freebie)
The Fallen Kingdom by Elizabeth May (Kindle Purchase)
Did I Mention I Love You? by Estelle Maskame (Kindle Freebie)
You and Only You by Sharon Sala (Kindle Freebie)

I can’t pass up a freebie or a deal.  I only paid for one of these books and it was on sale for $1.99.  I now have the first and third books in The Falconer Series.  Hopefully, I can catch book 2 on sale soon.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. This was a week of grabbing books in series I follow other than one apocalypse download and a pile of samples to try! That should cover my samples posts for the rest of the year! Have a good weekend!

  2. Sounds like a decent week minus the lack of reading! I go crazy if I can't get reading done during the week! Lol! Congrats to your daughter! Hope you enjoy all the new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. Nice to get a quiet week even if you couldn't get to your books. Oh, but very nice haul. I added a couple freebies including the Sala and a couple $.99 boxed set sales I couldn't pass up.

    Have a good week, Carole!

  4. Glad you had a much deserved quieter week. I haven't started The Falconer series but have always wanted to. Wonderful haul this week!

  5. Wedding books are fun! I have read and enjoyed two of Layne's books. I have my eye on An Ex for Christmas. I have heard a lot of good things. Congratulations to your daughter! It's always nice when hard work is rewarded.

  6. I need to read the Fallen Kingdom trilogy. I had access to the first book once upon a time, but I never actually picked it up.

  7. I keep seeing Lauren Layne's books everywhere! I'm starting to think I need to try them already and see what's so great about them. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on Runaway Groom – wedding themed books are always so much fun. Have a great week, Carole! Hopefully it's another quiet one. 🙂
