Stacking the Shelves #115

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.

My Life

This was a pretty good week.  It is finally starting to look a bit like spring around here.  We actually had some snow flurries on Sunday but it was over 80° by the end of the week.  I will take all of the warmer weather I can get.  I was able to leave work a couple of hours early on Thursday while it was nice out so we took the dogs for a walk in the middle of the afternoon which was nice.  I do appreciate these quieter weeks.

Books Added This Week
Too Wilde to Wed by Eloisa James (Edelweiss)
Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo (Kindle Purchase)
Providence by Caroline Kepnes (LibraryThing Early Reviewer)
My Oxford Year by Julia Whelan (Edelweiss)
Never Kiss a Rake by Anne Stuart (Audible Purchase)
Her Darkest Nightmare by Brenda Novak (Audible Purchase)
So much for small book hauls!  I have been really eager to get my hands on Too Wilde to Wed so I was thrilled to finally have my request approved on Edelweiss.  I couldn’t resist Wonder Woman: Warbringer when I saw it offered for only $1.99 this week.  I received the copy of Providence that I won on LibraryThing this week.  I am really curious about this one and expect that it will be very different than You. I love Julia Whelan’s narration so I am really curious to read the book that she has written, My Oxford Year.  I picked up the audiobook of Never Kiss a Rake for $1.99 since I already had the ebook and I used a credit for Her Darkest Nightmare.  I listened to Her Darkest Nightmare this week and found it entertaining.  These should keep me busy for a while!

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. it is finally feeling like autumn here! never kiss a rake.. bwahaha a kid would be like.. why kiss a rake (the one that does the leaves)?

  2. Ooh nice! I still need to read Kepnes' books, I bought You and Hidden Bodies awhile back and have my eyes on her new one as well. Though I want to try to read the ones I have before automatically buying this one! Congrats on the win! Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

Got up early enough to sneak a few blog visits in! 😉 My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. I was excited to hear about warmer weather, but I went from winter coat right to air conditioning. I just want a little spring, you know? I am excited to read My Oxford Year. It sounds like something I would like.

  4. I was denied for Too Wilde! Bohooo, but then ever 6 months I request s bunch of books from Edelwesiss and is approved for 1 in 10 lol

  5. Ooh I could use some 80's! Glad you warmed up some. We have an ice storm warning so there's that. 🙂 Providence looks good, i like that cover. And nice deal on wonder woman!

  6. I still need to read Wonder Woman: Warbringer. It's on my ever-growing list. *sigh*

I'm glad the weather is warmer there. It was 73 degrees here today, and while 67 is perfect for me, I'll take 73 over icky snow and 30.

  7. sounds like the weather here, we had one day of 80 but snow before that blah. you had a lot more self control on haul than me 😀

  8. Sounds like nice weather. We've had some hit or miss and the dogs have certainly enjoyed it when we did. So you had a larger book haul – I see no problem (just look at mine 🙂

  9. Our temperatures have been in the 70's and 80's as of late. Twice in the low 90's last week. I am enjoying the warmer weather (although 90's is a bit too warm still). I am glad you were able to enjoy a quieter week. Looks like you have some great books ahead of you! I hope you enjoy them all. 🙂 Have a great week, Carole!

  10. The warm weather was such a tease. :O Now it's cold and rainy. Omg, I really like Wonder Woman! I might try that new Eloisa James novel. Happy reading, Carole!

    Have a lovely week. =)

  11. I have Providence on my to be read pile, too. I can't wait to read it. I checked you out of the library last week after seeing the trailer for the show. YOWZA!

Hmmm…I'm not sure of that Eloisa James cover. LOL

    Thanks for sharing.

  12. That Eloisa James book is calling me – well actually all Eloisa James books are calling to me. I really want to read more from her. The weather has been insane lately. I wish it'd just pick a season and stick with it – as long as that season isn't winter!

  13. The weather has been so mixed up lately! Wonder woman is one I really want to read. I love superheroes and my little sister read it and loved it already too :3
