I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.
My Life
My husband was offered a job! He doesn’t start until the end of the month but I am so happy that he has found something so quickly. I have learned a lot about myself in the past couple weeks and I now know that I do not deal with this kind of uncertainty well.
I got a lot of reading done last weekend while my husband and daughter were in New Orleans. Since they got home, I have had a hard time focusing a book long enough to actually get any reading done. I had 3 audiobooks going at one time this week which is not like me at all. I ended up taking a day off from the blog to give myself a break in the middle of the week. I hope to get back to normal very soon!
Books Added
Nottingham by Nathan Makaryk (Publisher)
The Orphan’s Song by Lauren Kate (Publisher)
Five Midnights by Ann Davila Cardinal (Publisher)
Secrets of the Chocolate House by Paula Brackston (NetGalley)
What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

Sensational news about the job. I can see how that would make one have cause to think. Makes me wonder how I'd do under that sort of uncertainty.
Ha, the three audios and not being able to read have hit me a few times this past March. It was feast or famine.
Nice ones in the haul.
Have a good weekend, Carole!
Some intriguing things for you! Happy reading!

Have an even better week now and enjoy a bit of reading!

Congratulations to him! It must have been relieving news if you do not like the stress of the unknown, and I hope that when he starts at the end of the month he will be able to ease his way into his new job. ^.^
Such wonderful news, congratulations to your husband. I'm sure it was very stressful for you both.
I am so happy for your husband–and you! As you know, I know how stressful it can be. I hope he loves his new job. It has been a long while since I last listened to an audiobook. Maybe I should start one. J.D. Robb perhaps? Secrets of the Chocolate House sounds so good! I still need to read the first book. I hope you love all your new books, Carole. And congratulations to your husband! Have a great week.
