This week’s neglected book

Bring Me Their Hearts by Sara Wolf
Series: Bring Me Their Hearts #1
Publication Date: June 5, 2018
Publisher: Entangled Teen

Zera is a Heartless – the immortal, unageing soldier of a witch. Bound to the witch Nightsinger ever since she saved her from the bandits who murdered her family, Zera longs for freedom from the woods they hide in. With her heart in a jar under Nightsinger’s control, she serves the witch unquestioningly.

Until Nightsinger asks Zera for a Prince’s heart in exchange for her own, with one addendum; if she’s discovered infiltrating the court, Nightsinger will destroy her heart rather than see her tortured by the witch-hating nobles.

Crown Prince Lucien d’Malvane hates the royal court as much as it loves him – every tutor too afraid to correct him and every girl jockeying for a place at his darkly handsome side. No one can challenge him – until the arrival of Lady Zera. She’s inelegant, smart-mouthed, carefree, and out for his blood. The Prince’s honor has him quickly aiming for her throat.

So begins a game of cat and mouse between a girl with nothing to lose and a boy who has it all.

Winner takes the loser’s heart.

Literally.

Why did I add Bring Me Their Hearts to my bookshelf?
I actually received an unsolicited copy of this book from the publisher.  It was part of a package and I was really excited to get it.  Unfortunately, my reading schedule was packed by the time this book landed on my doorstep and I just couldn’t fit it in.  I do want to read the book and picked up a Kindle copy this past December when it was on sale.  Hopefully I can work this one in before the next book in the series, Find Me Their Bones, is released in November

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it to others?

  1. I really enjoyed this one and was just wondering the other day when the sequel would be out. It's probably good you waited as this one has a huge cliffhanger at the end. It's one that's stuck with me. I hope ypu enjoy it when you get to it!

  2. It never rains, but it pours sometimes. So hard to get to every book.

This one does look good and I haven't read a fantasy in a while.

  3. I want to read this book, too! The title coupled with the stunning cover is too much for me to resist. LOL

    Thanks for sharing!

  4. Well it has teen in the publisher name so I would be hesitant myself. It sounds like a fantasy setup for heartbreak or overcoming all odds. I hope you will enjoy it.
