I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.
My Life
What a rollercoaster of a week! I started the week on a high. I was counting down the days until closing and making plans for what we would do as soon as the sale was final. The title company had our closing scheduled and everything seemed like it was good to go. Then late Monday, we received a call that the sale was not going to happen and we would have to put our house back on the market. We wasted an entire month on a buyer that couldn’t get a loan despite being pre-approved.
So the house went back on the market on Tuesday…and it was crazy! One potential buyer after another toured the house both Tuesday and Wednesday and we ended up receiving two offers Wednesday night which were more than the original offer had been. We actually had to stay up late to get everything signed and taken care of that night. The house is under contract once again and I think it will happen this time since the buyer has a much larger down payment and waived the financing contingency. I feel hopeful.
What I’m Reading
I finished several books this week. I finished listening to Sisters in White by Melissa Foster about mid-week. Then I started Murder by Other Means by John Scalziwhich I finished on Saturday while doing some work around the house. I have slowly been making my way through Betty by Tiffany McDaniel for the past month. It really was a fantastic read and I am happy that I had the time to sit down and read for a few hours to finish it on Saturday.
All About Us by Tom Ellen (Publisher)
Sword and Pen by Rachel Caine (Penguin Random House Rewards)
The Ghost Tree by Christina Henry (Penguin Random House Rewards)
What books do you add to your shelves this week?

Yeah! What wonderful news about the house. So glad it looks like it will all work out.
That's great about the new offer for the house! And yay for a higher price too! Hopefully this one falls through this time!
Nice new reads too! Some new to me ones but I did read The Ghost Tree and really enjoyed it! Super eerie and perfect reading for Halloween! Hope you enjoy all the new reads!
Here's my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I am glad you have a new contract going so quickly! When that happened to me in 2007, it was nine months before we finally sold the house, and I had lost the house I was in escrow to purchase (with a contingency). But in the end, I guess it worked out, as I decided not to buy and rented a lovely condo for 12 years.
Have a great week, and I hope you enjoy your books and your activities.
Fingers crossed everything goes through this time on the house. Hope you enjoy your new reads! I wasn't a fan of The Ghost Tree but others like it so maybe you will too! 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!

It sounds like you have been reading some great books. I have The Ghost Tree in my sights. I hope you enjoy it when you read it. It seems to be getting mixed reviews.
