I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
This felt like a busy week even though it was probably more normal than anything. I took a couple of days off of posting early in the week and the break was much needed. I am trying to get caught up on comments but am having a very hard time finding enough hours in the day to get everything done on a daily basis.
We went to our nephew’s wedding last night and had a lot of fun. It was a really nice event but I did have to spend a portion of my week trying to make sure that my husband and I had appropriate clothes. We had a nice meal, took some photos in the photo booth, and even danced a bit.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I think that I am making my way out of my slump but I seem to be reading slower than usual. To start the week, I finished Justice Ascending by Rebecca Zanetti and enjoyed it. I finished Soul Taken by Patricia Briggs early in the week as well and absolutely loved it. I then moved on to Bad Bachelor by Stefanie London and had a good time with it.

I have read just over half of For the Throne by Hannah Whitten and cannot wait to see how this duology wraps up. I didn’t pick up December ’41 by William Martin this week but hope to get back to it soon. I am almost done with Down Comes the Night by Allison Saft and am enjoying it even though it isn’t what I expected.

Books Added

Little Eve by Catriona Ward (Publisher); A Death in Door County by Annelise Ryan (Publisher)

Promo Box – Stealing Infinity by Alyson Noel (Publisher)

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Glad you had a good time at the wedding, but I know what you mean. I have so little dress clothes (I getting dressed). I am so cheap too, so investing in clothing for such events bothers me. Publisher boxes are always so cool.
Glad you had a nice time at the wedding! I’m pretty much the last single person in my family, so I haven’t attended a wedding since my sister’s 4 years ago. I’m really not one for weddings since I hate dressing up and I am not a dancer. I usually just sit at the table until I can sneak out! Lol.
Nice new reads! I got the Stealing Infinity ARC box too! I switched my reads real quick since I was reading an anthology and that’s the easiest read to set aside and return to later! It’s pretty interesting so far. Hope you enjoy it and all of your other new reads!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Great to hear you are out of the reading slump. You are reading some diverse books right now genrewise. I know what you mean about clothes. My daughter is going to her first cousin’s wedding this fall and we are trying to figure out what she can wear and what she can eat.

Sounds like a great reading week. Glad you had a good time at the wedding. We had a grad party for a niece.
Wishing you a good week, Carole!
Glad you had fun at the wedding we had the same problem in early May, what to wear, what to wear when you’ve been closed up and in yoga pants for two years LOL so a little shopping was in the cards for us too. I know what you mean about enough hours in the day but that’s what tomorrow is for right! I really want to read December ’41 its on my shelf so we’ll see how long it takes, I’m right in the middle of my assignments right now from both publications I review for so it will be a little while. Hope this week is good too!
Some weeks are definitely slow. Mine was eventful in a different way, but I actually enjoyed three books for a change.
Enjoy your upcoming week!
That promo box looks fun! And I hate trying to figure out what to wear at weddings – glad it was a good time once you were there. And I’m always trying to find time to do it all. It’s tough!
Busy, Busy…. I know how you are feeling. I have Briggs book and plan to read it on a quiet weekend. Hope your week is a good one.
I know what you mean about finding time to blog hop and comment. It’s a constant struggle. It’s like, there’s reading, posting, and commenting. I can manage any two of three but keeping up with all three feels impossible.
Funnily enough, my nephew’s wedding is this week. Tbh, I’m not exactly looking forward to it (it sounds like a nice way to spread Covid) but I also feel like there’s no way around it. My sister would not get over it if I didn’t go.
Omg Soul taken, neeed
