My Life

This was somewhat busy. We are just days away from the wedding and I have reached the point that I am ready for the day to get here just so I can sit back for a bit. I went with my daughter to her final fitting and we picked up the wedding dress on Thursday. On Friday, my younger daughter came home from college to shop for some things she needed for the wedding. On Saturday, I went with both of my daughters to buy some last minutes items for the ceremony.

I am only working 2 days this upcoming week. My daughter’s future husband’s family starts arriving in town on Wednesday. The rehearsal is on Thursday and the wedding is on Friday. I honestly don’t know what a lot of my week will look like. I hope that I can keep up with blogging but I am not making any promises.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished 3 books this week. Love’s Sweet Revenge by Rosanne Bittner was a great read and it felt good to scratch another past-due NetGalley book from my tbr. I started the week out listening to The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco and had pretty mixed feelings about it. I wrapped up the week with All Good People Here by Ashely Flowers and liked the story but hated how closely some details resembled those from the JonBenet Ramsey case.

I am loving House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson and hope to get the chance to finish it today. I just started listening to The Witch with No Name by Kim Harrison but expect it to be just as good as the previous books in the series.

Books Added

The Witch and the Vampire by Francesca Flores (Publisher); Five Survive by Holly Jackson (Publisher)

  1. OMG! I can’t believe the day is almost here. Could you imagine what it would have been like had the engagement been longer? I am sure it will be a most beautiful event! I hope you enjoy every minute of it.

  3. It’s a very busy time with the wedding so close! I hope everything goes smoothly. The week will probably go by fast for you. I have always been curious about The Bone Witch. I look forward to reading your thoughts on it when you finish. Ooo! The Witch and the Vampire looks like it will be good. I hope you enjoy your reading and have a great week, Carole!

  4. Yay for another Bittner, I adore that Outlaw Hearts series. They are just my favorite couple. So I hope you are really enjoying it. The 2 and 3rd books are pretty intense and emotional but I just love the family, and isn’t the grandson lil Jake so adorbs? I hope you end up enjoying the rest of the series. And so EXCITING the wedding is almost here, I bet you are more than ready to just relax and enjoy the day with your family.

  5. Oh my goodness! How exciting! I can’t wait to see hear how the wedding goes and can’t believe it’s this week! I hope after the wedding is over you spend at least a day in bed with a good book to recover. Have the very best week and enjoy your time with your family.

  6. I hear you on the busy part! We’re on a remodel and between work and that my free time has been scarce. I guess the wedding will be tomorrow. Wow! Hope the day goes off well and that you get some much needed rest after! Can’t wait to hear the details and hopefully you’ll share some pics. πŸ™‚

Looks like you did a fair bit of reading even with all going on! Five Survive looks like an interesting read.
