I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
Happy Easter to all those who are celebrating today! I am going to spend the day with family which should be fun.
I spent the week trying to get caught up after being away from work for the previous week and a half. We were closed on Friday for the holiday and I have jury duty on Monday so it will take me a bit longer to get completely caught up.
We took Stella to the vet and she had her staples removed from her leg. She had 10 staples so I am sure she is much more comfortable now that they are gone. The vet said that her leg was looking good. She really wants to resume her normal activity so keeping her calm can be a bit of a challenge.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I finished 4 books this week. I started the week out listening to The Nanny by Lana Ferguson which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had a great time with Bear with Me Now by Katie Shepard. The Sweetheart List by Jill Shalvis was just as good as I have come to expect from this author. A Love Catastrophe by Helena Hunting was a fun book with plenty of romance and kitty hijinxs.
I have listened to over half of The Instructor by T.R. Hendricks and can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
Books Added
I Like Me Better by Robby Weber (Publisher); Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher (Publisher); Change of Plans by Dylan Newton (Publisher)
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (Publisher); The Lonely Hearts Book Club by Lucy Gilmore (Publisher); GiGi, Listening by Chantel Guertin (Publisher)

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Glad to hear Stella is doing well! Hope things go okay tomorrow with Jury Duty and that you’re able to get caught up at work thereafter!
Nice new reads! New to me ones but I did see a lot of Fourth Wing going around this week! Not sure where I stand on that one. I think I’m at the point of being overwhelmed with all my TBR books as is that I don’t want to add something unless it really, really captures my attention! Lol!
Hope you enjoy all the fantastic new reads! and Happy Easter to you!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Hope you enjoy your Easter visit with the family and that jury duty goes well. I have Shalvis coming up soon, though I am sure I will enjoy it (I always love her books). The Hunting is on the horizon too. Happy to hear it was a fun one
I have also reached the hard to keep her resting when she feels ok stage of recovery for Lulu. I hope your week goes smoothly. Enjoy your holiday with family.

A very Happy Easter to you.
Glad the pooch is doing much better and was able to get her staples out. Yay for time with family and a catch up week for you. Hopefully Jury duty will either get dismissed or be of short duration.
Have a good week, Carole!
I am glad her leg looked good!
Oh no! I’m gonna have to backtrack to find out why there were staples. Glad to hear Stella is on the mend. We actually lost Cassius to cancer two weeks ago today and to say I’m still a mess is a disaster. You’ve got some interesting books. I also have an arc of A Love Catastrophe so I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it. I’ve been reading a bit more romance the past year and found that it’s a great palate cleanser from some of my darker reads.
So happy to hear Stella is on the mend! I’m looking forward to The Sweetheart List and The Nanny. I’m intrigued by The Instructor and thinking about requesting it now!
Wow, between the holiday and jury duty you’ll have a time getting caught up. Hope jury duty goes well. I’m not sure when I’ll get to it, but I’m excited for Fourth Wing.
So glad Stella’s leg is looking good though keeping her still or stillish is going to be a challenge! I hope jury duty is going okay. Enjoy your reading and I hope you’re having a great week!
How was jury duty? Hope Stella is all better soon. I have A Love Catastrophe waiting on my Netgalley shelf. It’ll have to hold a little bit longer. Hope you have a great weekend.
