I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
Work, work, dogs, laundry, work. That just about sums up my week. I have been working 3 days per week at Barnes & Noble in addition to my Monday through Friday day job. I am still adjusting to my new schedule. I worked Friday night, and Saturday day, and will be working again today (Sunday) so I probably won’t get a chance to get around to many blogs until sometime later in the week.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I read 6 books this week. If I couldn’t listen to audiobooks at my day job, this total would probably be zero. I finished up Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher and absolutely loved it. Jezebel by Megan Barnard was a fantastic historical fiction novel. I really enjoyed Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward. I liked My Roommate Is a Vampire but Jenna Levine but didn’t feel the connection between the characters. I have liked Mazey Eddings’s adult romances and am happy to report that she did a great job with Tilly in Technicolor which is her YA debut. I ended the week with Sandra Brown’s Out of Nowhere which was really well done.

I am currently reading 2 books. I have only read 20% of Change of Plans by Dylan Newton but I am loving it so far. I need to pick a new audiobook to start during the drive to work Saturday so I hit play on The Dirt on Ninth Grave by Darynda Jones and cannot wait to listen to more.

Books Added

I Loved You in Another Life by David Arnold (Publisher); Bright Lights, Big Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews (Publisher)

What books do you add to your shelves this week?

Oh wow you’re busy! I was curious about Roommate so that’s good to know.
Love the Insta pic!!!!
Good luck juggling all your balls. Two jobs and the dogs is a lot on its own. So glad to hear you are enjoying Change of Plans. I adored that book. I thought David Arnold’s book was already out. I guess I was wrong. I have liked his books in the past. Hope this one is great too
That sounds exhausting! Hopefully you’ll be able to find your work/work/life balance in time. What B&N did you end up at? And yay for having a shelf of picks!!
Nice new reads to! Some new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Yeah, you’re pretty busy so sometimes just treading water is the week’s victory. Way to go getting through the six books which were mostly winners. Fun to see your staff picks shelf.
Have a good week, Carole!
Don’t work too hard! I don’t think Apollo could handle me being gone so long. He’s become my little shadow. I am reading g My Roommate is a Vampire currently. Hope you have a great week.
Hey don’t forget to take care of yourself. I hope you don’t always work both weekend days as you need a day for yourself. I really have to read more Sandra Brown. I think most of them are standalones so nothing is stopping me.

Oh many things. Have a great week and happy reading!
I hope you get used to your new schedule.
I am so glad you liked Jezebel! I can’t wait to read it. That’s too bad My Roommate is a Vampire wasn’t better for you. It sounded cute. Looking Glass Sound is on my radar. I like the author. I love that you have your own shelf of books you recommend! That’s so awesome! I hope you have a great week, Carole, and are able to find some downtime in between all the work you are having to do.
You have a busy schedule, Carole! I think it’s neat you’re working at a B&N and that you get your own bookshelf! I’m looking forward to the new Sandra Brown! I just got my library audio so hopefully I’ll get to it before the lend expires. Hope you get some rest and I hope you have an easy work week!
I don’t envy the balancing act you have right now, but I’m sure you’ll fall into a good routine soon enough. The highlight of my week was getting book mail from you. It really made my day! Thanks again and have a great week!
Sound like you have a busy schedule. Hopefully things balance out soon.
Have a great week.
I work nights and long hours and my reading suffers for it. My days off are busy with yard work, house work and errands. I also have to binge favorite shows. LOL
How do you like working at Barnes and Noble. Must be fun to do a Carole’s Pick shelf.
Sounds like a very full week! I’m really looking forward to getting my copy of Thornhedge this week.
I’m amazed you still managed 6 books while working both jobs. Thanks goodness for those audiobooks!
Goodness! I’m impressed you’re able to read with how busy you are and with all the adjusting to schedules you’re doing. So glad you are though! I always feel more frazzled when I can’t get any reading in. The Mary Kay Andrews is really calling to me. I meant to read The Santa Suit last year and this new one looks just as good. Have a great week!
Still so many audiobooks considering your workload
