THE GOOD LUCK GIRLS

The country of Arketta calls them Good Luck Girls—they know their luck is anything but.

Sold to a “welcome house” as children and branded with cursed markings.

Trapped in a life they would never have chosen.

When Clementine accidentally kills a man, the girls risk a dangerous escape and harrowing journey to find freedom, justice, and revenge in a country that wants them to have none of those things. Pursued by Arketta’s most vicious and powerful forces, both human and inhuman, their only hope lies in a bedtime story passed from one Good Luck Girl to another, a story that only the youngest or most desperate would ever believe.

It’s going to take more than luck for them all to survive.

At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

Why did I add The Good Luck Girls to my bookshelf?

I won a review copy of this book and just never had the chance to pick it up for one reason or another. It looks like this is the first book in a duology and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. I still think that it looks good so I definitely do want to read it. The audiobook is available through my local library so I will probably try to get my hands on that before much longer.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it?

  1. This one does look familiar but I know I never read it. I did just read a review book I won years ago last year…or was it the year before…? Lol. Basically had it forever, never read it but then read it not too long ago towards the end of the year to pump up my Goodreads challenge! Hope you’re able to get to this one soon!

  2. I remember being interested in this one when it first released. So many books are that way and then they take a backburner to newer ones. Hope you love this one when you are able to find time!

  3. I haven’t yet read this one, but it is on my TBR pile. Like so many other great sounding books. *Sigh* One of these days . . . I hope you enjoy this one when you read it, Carole!
