My Life
I got the job! I am so excited. I won’t start until August after our Hawaii trip, but I am looking forward to working at our wonderful library system. We had a low-key 4th of July. One of our dogs is very scared of fireworks and storms and we had a lot of both this week. I feel bad for her. At the last minute, my boss decided we could stay home on Friday, July 5th. It has been a long time since I had 4 days in a row where I haven’t had to work. I should have been more productive but I have to admit that I took more than a few naps.
I know that I have been complaining a lot about just how tired and run down I have been feeling. I finally made an appointment to see the doctor and was prescribed some medication to help me with the ear pain that I have been having as a result of allergies. I am starting to feel better which is great news.
My daughter and I went to see Megan Bannen on Friday at one of the local libraries. She is always a lot of fun and I can’t wait to read The Undermining of Twila and Frank. Jessica from @aGREATread was there and it was nice to catch up with her for a bit. They had a drawing for a t-shirt and somehow Jessica, my daughter, and I all won a shirt.

What I’m Reading
I finished 3 books this week. Love Letters to a Serial Killer by Tasha Coryell was a lot of fun. I loved World Undone by Sarah Lyons Fleming and was once again impressed by the way this author can write scenes that stay with you for a long time. I was thinking about this book for a long time after finishing it. I thought that Golden Touch by Sarina Bowen was a wonderful romance.
I am still leaving This Ordinary Stardust by Alan Townsend on my currently reading list but didn’t pick it up this week. I am excited to start reading Sanctuary by Ilona Andrews.

Congrats again on the job! That’s so great and it was wonderful seeing you (and your daughter) again! Megan was a lot of fun! I still can’t believe we all won a shirt, that’s so crazy! Have fun at Hawaii too if I don’t see you before then!
