Weekly Wrap Up #436

Posted November 17, 2024 by Carole in Stacking the Shelves / 7 Comments

I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

It was really nice working from home this week. I was able to get so much done at my full-time job at home Monday through Thursday. The commute was great and the dogs enjoyed being my co-workers. I have to pack up the computers tonight and head back to the office tomorrow morning. I am not looking forward to that.

I am still waiting to learn if I was chosen for the full-time position. Waiting is hard! I had a good day at work at the library on Friday and got to see my husband for a bit during the day when he was assigned to fix something in the branch I work at. I spent Saturday in a full-day training so it was a rather easy workday.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished 3 books this week. The Eyes Are the Best Part by Monika Kim was a complete cover grab that kept me on the edge of my seat and I am so glad that I picked it up. I have no idea why I waited so long to listen to The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce but it turned out to be a wonderful listen. I sat down to write a review of The Bloodless Princes by Charlotte Bond so I decided to listen to it again real quick but still failed to write my review – hopefully, I will get to it next week.

I am reading The Last One by Rachel Howzell Hall. I am only 10% in, but it seems very promising.

Books Added

Another by Paul Tremblay (Publisher); Another Fine Mess by Lindy Ryan (Publisher); Puck & Prejudice by Lia Riley (Publisher)

  1. You can’t beat the commute when you work from home, though I do think it gets a bit old after a while. I like mingling with my teammates and collaboration is easier. I wish my office was 2 in/3 home, but it’s the other way around. Better than 5 days, right? Waiting is hard. I hope you hear back from the library soon.

  2. Glad you had a nice week! Working from home can be very nice! I especially love the commute! Lol. Keeping my fingers crossed for you for the library position!

Nice new reads! Those are all new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. I am terrible at waiting and will keep my fingers crossed for you. My husband is hybrid and works from home about half the time. Those days are just so much easier and the coworkers are much more pleasant – though the cat gets cranky if the door to his office is closed! Enjoy your reading and have a great week!
