Stacking the Shelves #28

Posted July 9, 2016 by Carole in Stacking the Shelves / 14 Comments

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
We have been off of work this week and it feels great!  I am really dreading going back on Monday but I am trying to not think about it.  We didn’t get a whole lot done during our time off together this week but that was in a large part due to the weather being completely uncooperative.  Lots of rain with periods of extreme heat and humidity stuck in the middle.  I did get to read a couple of books and we did manage to see a St. Louis Cardinals game.

Digital Books
Love’s Sweet Revenge by Rosanne Bittner (NetGalley)
Damaged by Lisa Scottoline (NetGalley)
The Sight by Chloe Neill (NetGalley)

I have been trying not to look at NetGalley because I really need to get caught up with my huge TBR list and stop adding new books to the pile.  I couldn’t resist Love’s Sweet Revenge after reading a review at Addicted to Romance.  I was emailed a widget for Lisa Scottoline’s Damaged so I just had to click on it….right?  I didn’t even realize that The Sight was posted on NetGalley until I featured it on my Waiting on Wednesday post and someone mentioned it.  I immediately requested it and am so excited to be approved.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. I'm trying to take a break from NetGalley for the same reason but with very mixed results! All of these sound fantastic!

  2. You'll have to let me know what you think of The Sight. I loved the first one. I have to go back Monday as well so I feel for you!

  3. Hot, sticky weather does make it tough to get stuff done. Glad you got to get out for a ballgame and read some, though.

Oh yes, I had to snag the Rosanne Bittner book, too. Love that series.

Sorry the weather wasn't more cooperative but I'm glad you enjoyed your time off. I should stay away from NetGalley but it's hard. But yes, when you're emailed the widget, it's so hard to resist and not accept.

    Have a good week!

  5. Boo for suckage weather! And double boo for having to go back to work. But a whole lot of yay for The Sight! lol! Have a great week, Carole. 🙂

  6. NetGalley is a double-edged sword. So many books pretty to read, but then you have to find time to actually read them! I have a huge backlog of books, and the pressure is intense. I hope you had a nice time off. happy reading!

  7. I'm very curious about the Bittner book! I saw it as well but I've definitely downloaded too many books from NetGally recently. Maybe another time. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Carole. 🙂

    Check out my STS post!

  8. Oh YES for Sweet Love's Revenge…I just adore Bittner!! You will love her so I hope you enjoy that one. I have issues with Netgalley, I have to be really careful in how I request books, if I do too many then I get behind. I actually dont mind the heat, but yeah humidity can make it super uncomfortable. Hope the weather improves.
