October 2016
Wow…this post is really late. Better late than never I guess. I feel like I had a really good reading month in October. I also spent more time watching TV than I ever do so it is a bit surprising that my numbers actually went up.

Blogger Thoughts
- I had 22 posts for the month of October which is less than I usually do. I had to take an unexpected break to let my hands rest which really put me behind.
- I was horrible about visiting blogs during October. I actually get a lot of different blogs via email so I read a lot more than I actually commented on but I need to do better with commenting.
- I had a great reading month with 4 audiobooks and 10 books. I am actually on target with my Goodreads goal but it looks like it will be close this year.
- I had my second DNF for the year this month. I realized early on that a book wasn’t going to work for me so I stopped right away. Glad that I did.
Outside of the Blog
- October was busy. Marching Band wrapped up during October so we were really busy with school again but we have reached the point where we can now take a break
- I had a rough month of October concerning my hands. I have carpal tunnel and I work on a computer all day. Blogging is my hobby so there can be a lot of computer time in a day. My hands were so bad that I finally went to see a doctor that then referred me to a surgeon. I still have not went to see the surgeon.
- We are continuing with our nightly walks. We are usually walking in the dark with flashlights but it is good to get out on a nightly basis with my hubby and 3 dogs.
- I have become completely obsessed with Outlander during the month of October. I just could not get enough. I binge watched the show and started an audiobook. I have asked my husband to be more like Jamie and have offered to buy him a kilt. He keeps reminding me that this is a fictional character and has refused the kilt…so far.
How was your month? Do you have any reading or blogging goals for November?
I think you did pretty good for the month with all that you have going on and the carpal tunnel. haha, that's funny about your husband and the kilt.
Have a good November, Carole!
I am going to keep trying on the kilt!
That is a great month!! My October was a bit slow but November seems to be picking up. I haven't read Outlander yet but am tempted to just start the show anyways. Have a great November!
My husband and daughter haven't read the books and are enjoying the show. My daughter is definitely enjoying it and my husband is watching it with me so that counts for something. I would say go ahead and watch it if you think is sounds interesting!
Better late than never is what I say. You've a great month, Carole! I hope your November will be just as fruitful!
I was about to put it off again and then looked at the date. November is going well so far.
I don't want to think about how many DNFs I had this year! 7 DNFs have come this month so far! Still every book you read or DNF is one off the tbr…that's how I look at it!
I don't usually have too many DNFs but this year I have had fewer than normal. I agree with you about crossing them off the TBR pile!
Wow, what a great month. I plan on reading The Dog Ray soon. Hope you liked it. It's great that you are out walking. It was really pretty here all weekend so the dogs got to go to their favorite field to play both days. Cassius loves to run and Booker loves to explore. I still haven't read The Drafter. I read the novella that came before it and had trouble getting into it so I'm not sure I'd like it. I hope to give it another chance though. The problem is, I miss Jenks! I love The Hollow books!
Haha, how's your husband's transformation into Jamie coming along?!
You did great this month! Though I'm sorry to hear about your hands. How frustrating. We all seem to be dragging a bit. I think this summer just took it out of me! I haven't started watching Outlander but I mean too! It looks fantastic and maybe that'll push me to read the books!
