June 2024 Wrap-Up

June 2024

June was a bit of a whirlwind.  The month felt really busy but I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I was lucky enough to attend a few awesome author events which were a lot of fun.

There was a week towards the middle of the month that put everything into perspective.  I was exhausted from trying to keep up with my schedule and a couple of fun events and it finally clicked that I couldn’t keep it up for much longer.  The next day was payday and my check was pitifully small which left me wondering if any of it was worth it.  I applied for a few positions and decided to keep up my regular schedule while I figured out what I wanted to do.  I had a horrible day at the bookstore the following day and decided it was time to give my notice, and they took me off the schedule right away.

I am currently trying to obtain a job at my local library.  If that doesn’t work out, I think I will just work the one job for a while and take some more time for the blog and other things I loved doing when I had time for them.

  1. I’m glad you don’t have to endure your bookstore job any more. And I really hope you get offered one of those library positions! Good luck this week. 😀

  2. I am impressed you were able to keep up as long as you did. You were truly a super woman. I am surprised the bookstore took you right off the schedule. Didn’t even let you do the two weeks. A blessing in disguise but still. Enjoy having one job for new and good luck with the library job.

  3. Good luck on getting a library position! My job at the library was my favorite job ever. (I only quit because it was part-time and I needed more hours.) And in the meantime, I hope you can enjoy some extra time for yourself.

  4. Patricia Briggs is going to be on my Must Read Authors list for 2025 if I don’t get to any of her books this year. I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself and hope July is the best of months!
