September 2017 – Monthly Wrap – Up

September 2017
September proved to be a rather busy month as expected.  Marching Band is in full swing which means we always seem to be on the go.  My daughter and I took some time to find a homecoming dress and she is looking forward to the dance which is coming up soon.

I was able to keep up with the blog for the most part.  My reading was a bit down again this month and I expect to have similar numbers in October.  Marching Band season will be over in November and I will get some of my reading time back.  I ended up with 26 posts during the month of September.  There were days that I didn’t get to make comments but I usually was able to catch up later in the week.

I am linking this post to the Monthly Wrap-Up at Feed Your Fiction Addiction.

How was your month? Do you have any reading or blogging goals for October?

  1. Nice list! September was a rather busy month for me as well and I also got sick, so I had to take it slow πŸ™ Anyway, hopefully we'll both be able to catch up with lots of reads soon, and I really hope your daughter has a fantastic time!

  2. 13 books is awesome and I wish I could get that done. I remember how busy band was when I was in it with competitions and games and parades. I can't believe you've done what you did! Looks like you've got some good books lined up for October. I can't believe we're typing October already! Have a wonderful weekend Carole!

  3. I hope your daughter's band competition went well! My husband and I used to live in an apartment near a high school where competitions were often held, and we used to love to open our windows wide and listen to the bands perform. Sometimes, if it's really quiet, we can hear our now local high school band perform–although it's not by much.

It looks like you did well this past month, even if your reading was done. Mine was about average for me, although it felt like I didn't get in as much as I could. Just so much going on. But you know how that is. I hope you have a wonderful October, Carole!

  4. Looks like you had a great month! I think I've enjoyed every Jill Shalvis book that I've read so far. lol! That is one that I have on my TBR/wishlist. Hope you have a great October!

  5. oh wow 13 books, I think that is awesome for Sept, hope your October reading is good. I really want to read Waking Gods

  6. Well look at you, killing your Goodreads challenge. *applause, applause* I loved Chasing Christmas Eve too. Shalvis is a go-to for me when I need to feel happy and swoon a little, and the series gets better and better (or maybe I am just getting more and more invested in these people's lives)

  7. My two favourite themed months-apocalypse and horror, have come during times when I don't really want to read! It's unfair! I think I'll adjust my Goodreads goal back down to 200 to see if that motivates me more! Congrats on your Goodreads goal!

  8. We had two kids that went through Marching Band seasons. I loved helping the band and watching them perform. My daughter became drum major and that made it even more fun for me. I miss it now.
