January 2018 – Monthly Wrap Up

January 2018
How is it already the end of January?  This was a quiet, cold month for me.  The weather has been all over the place but there were some days in January that chilled me to the bone.  I have tried to stay home as much as possible during the month.  At the beginning of the month, I went to my daughter’s All Suburban Honor Band concert which was nice.  We ended the month by moving some furniture around in the house and trying to get things cleaned up a bit.

  1. Yes the weather was pretty weird here too but man when it was cold it was cold!! Looks like a great reading month!! I have heard good things about Next Year in Havana. Hope you have a wonderful February!

  2. I can't believe it's the end of January! One part of me feels like this month flew by while the other feels like it moved at turtle speed. Your Netgalley ratio is so good! Every time I start getting mine up I get approved for more books lol I loved Next Year in Havana so I hope you love it too! πŸ™‚

  3. I think overall your stats for the month are looking pretty good Carole and you're ahead of me on reviews! I'm pleased with my month and looking forward to more reading tonight!

  4. Yes, the weather has been something else. We even had thunder snow a few nights around here. πŸ™‚

You did great on the reading and blogging side of things and neat that you get to see your daughter doing her music. πŸ™‚

Hope you have a great February, Carole!

  5. You've had a great month and look at you kicking those reviews out. Two Girls Down and Into the Black Nowhere were definitely strong reads this month. Didn't you review The Chalk Man this month or am I dreaming? I thought we had that one in common too!

  6. You've reviewed so many great books this month and looks like you have so many coming up! I think almost all of them are on my TBR – especially the Lisa Kleypas. I'm mad at myself for not having read her latest series yet.

  7. You had a great reading month! Nice job! I have been seeing so many raves for the new Cleeton novel. I loved her Wild Aces books, and really want to check out her new series. Do you know I have never read a Kleypas book. And I call myself a romance reader! Cannot wait to read your reviews.

  8. January has been SO cold! Ugh. I still need to read The Wife Between Us and Still house Lake. they both look like great thrillers.

  9. Wow, you read loads of books! Congrats πŸ™‚ hope next month you manage to read more from your Shame stack πŸ™‚ maybe you should join my meme State of the ARC? Last year's blogger shame challenge was pretty much why I started it xD

  10. You read so many books! The weather here has been so weird. One minute it is 77 ( like today) and then it is 44 the next couple days. I love your reading stats and I may have to use that next month in my wrap (with credit of course!). I keep seeing Next Year In Havana around and it sounds so good. I cannot wait to read it. I hope February is an amazing month for you!

  11. A quiet month sounds so nice. It looks like you had a great reading month in January, Carole. I want to read so many of the books you read. I hope to get to The Lost Plot this month. It may not have won my TBR poll, but I am determined to read it. I miss Irene and Kai. I hope you have a great week! Here's to a great February!

  12. Honors Band was amazing to listen to when my daughter participated. Talented musicians at such a young age. I see you have books scheduled for Feb that I am hoping to get my hands on too.
