I am still not completely back to normal from my surgery at the end of July. I am starting to think that I am going to have a new normal and need to adjust.
On the reading front, my numbers were down just a bit at 12 books for the month. I really expected a drop since I always seem to get behind during my daughter’s marching band season. Of the 12 books, 3 were novella length while one book was over 900 pages so I guess it all evened out in the end.

Wow, you read a lot this month. I need to look back and see what I got read – yep, it was one of those months where I didn't track very well!
This was actually a slower month for me!
This year went so fast! I didn’t accomplish anything. Congrats on reading 12 books. I hope October is good to you.
Aj @ Read All The Things!
I think that every year seems to get faster. At least it does for me!
You're doing pretty well with the challenges. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling as you were before the operation and I hope things get better. It took my dad's pal a few months to be feeling back to normal so it might happen for you yet.
I hope that I do feel like the old me pretty soon!
I read an ARC of Dear Evan Hansen- hope you enjoy it too! It's crazy that it's October, but it's my favorite month so I can't complain.

I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed Dear Evan Hansen. It sounds like a great book!
You did good. I managed to read 9.
That's great, Nadene!
The Months are going by rather quickly and I don't like it. I swear it was just Christmas a few months ago and now it's coming up that way again soon. If I could I would hibernate starting Nov. 1st and not come out till Jan. 2nd. 🙂
I would love to hibernate all winter!
oh a good month there! I hope you'llhave a great October!
Thanks, Melliane!
I do hope that you one day feel as good as old
Thank you!
I agree. September was here and gone. Bittersweet with marching band and other 'last times' for you and your daughter. 🙂
Looks like you read quite a variety and yes, a 900 pager totally balances out the shorter ones. 🙂 You're doing great with the Blogger Shame challenge and GoodReads.
Have a happy October, Carole!
Thanks, Sophia Rose!
You're doing great with your challenges and ratios. My EW one is 72%, but I am like 87% on NG, and I just read 3 more NG books. I recently read Fight or Flight and really enjoyed it. I hope you do too.
You are doing great with both EW and NG. I hope to make some more progress soon!
Sorry to hear that your health hasn't gotten back to normal after your surgery. I hope the recovery is just taking a little longer than you'd expect.

I do too!
I hope you're feeling better soon. If I hadn't come back from my procedure it would be horrid with being on my feet all day. You read a bunch of amazing books in September. Here's hoping October finds the good ones too! Anne – Books of My Heart
I am glad you are feeling better, Anne. I have improved but I am just not where I want to be yet.
Ah marching band… same thing happening here with color guard. Every weekend in October is a trip somewhere seems like! I think it makes the fall go by faster too. I want to slow things down! Good luck with your marching band season!
The Little shop of Found Things looks like a fun book. Hope you have a nice week!
I think that marching band somehow takes every single free moment. It is crazy how time consuming it is!
At some point our bodies are like, 'Nope, I cannot go back to before'. It is annoying. I fell down the stairs a few weeks ago and 10 years ago I would have bounced right back. Now I am still struggling. So I feel you. Still I hope you might be able to heal a little more over the next few months. 🙂
Yeah…I am definitely not 20 anymore. I hope you are feeling better from your fall very soon.
12 is still a great reading number! It must be strange to start thinking of everything as lasts school wise… But enjoy it too! I hope you do okay adjusting to a new normal. It can be hard, especially as some things won't be the same as before…
I must say that I am kind of happy about some of the lasts (like paperwork or other things I don't enjoy). I think I had an okay month overall.
