September 2019 Wrap Up

September 2019
Can someone please explain to me how it is already October?  September kind of went by in a blur with a puppy to chase after and a quick trip out of town.  My reading was up as I kind expected it would with my daughter off to college and just me, my husband, and the dogs left at home.

I did join Instagram during the month of September and am having fun taking pictures.  I really don’t know what I am doing but I have set a limit for myself of one post per day so hopefully I am not too annoying.  If you want to follow me, here is the link:  Instagram

No big plans for October so far.  We do hope to visit my daughter at college and take in a football game at least once during the month.  Other than that, I will be reading, playing with my three dogs, and maybe some exercising.

I am linking this post to the Monthly Wrap-Up at Feed Your Fiction Addiction.

I am still not doing a great job with my plan to read from rotating categories. I seem to be having a hard time just keeping up with the new stuff.  I did throw in a couple of old review books so I am going to call it a win.

  1. Good reading stats for the month Carole! Better than mine! I've been asking myself the same question about where the year has gone. In April I was getting stuff done in home and garden but now I seem to be facing winter with most of it still to do! I'm struggling to get reading done but I hope spooky booky month helps!

  2. It looks like a good reading month for you, even with a puppy to chase around!
I'm trying to get more of my already-owned books read, but then I see the shiny new NetGalley ones instead :-/

  3. I agree, September passed in the blink of an eye. This whole year is! Sixteen book in a month is awesome! I average about 8 but I haven't checked on September yet. Seeing Crush the King reminds me that I still want to read Kill the Queen (at some point).

  4. Wow you got a lot read. No surprise that Hollow Kingdom was one of your faves. I'm about 100 pages into The Babysitter's Coven right now. I'm finding it to be a lot of fun. I am also really enjoying your Instagram pics. I do good to post 2 a week – 1 dog one and 1 bandana one. I did a month long challenge in August and it wore me out!

  5. i always start out with good intentions and if i didn't do good with blogging ahead, i would fall very short in the summer. i do this meme once in a while, when i have missed a lot of sunday updates. i am doing the october blog ahead challenge to try and finish out the year and maybe get some going for next year. january is never a good blogging month for me, so i try and get some posts done for it

  6. I'm glad this month, as fast as it went by, was a good one for you. You've had some hectic ones and needed to catch a break. I think you did fab on your reading. Yay for two blogger shames this month. Look forward to seeing your Instagram pics. I'm hit or miss at it and my photography is sad, but I have fun with it.

    Have a great October, Carole!

  7. Sounds like you had a really great month. I hate that I've been so MIA for a while. I'm just struggling with some personal stuff. I'm hoping to be not quite so absent in the future. I also can't believe it is October. The weather isn't helping, as they are canceling school here because of the heat (and lack of A/C in schools).

  8. Yeah I get you on the not keeping up with the new stuff. I never read stuff which is way out anymore like Crush the King, although I WANT to read it now, because I'm scrambling on the current stuff. Well unless it is Ilona Andrews, then I read it the minute I get it. Good luck with October!

  9. Looks like you made some good progress this month, and only 1 DNF. I had a bunch early in the month, but things got better as September wore on. Have fun playing with the pups!
