March 2017
March was a great month! I had a week long vacation from work which was wonderful. My daughter went to Disney World with her band at school. We had some great weather as well.
I am linking this post to the Monthly Wrap-Up at Feed Your Fiction Addiction. I do these posts every month but have never linked up before so I am really excited to start participating.

Blogger Thoughts
- I didn’t keep up with doing all of my work for my posts on the weekends so well during the month of March. My week of work really got me off track. I hope to do better with that during the month of April.
- I had 30 posts during the month of March and only took two days off from the blog. I am really happy with those numbers.
- I read 12 books this month which is actually a lot less than I would have thought since I read 5 books during my week off from work. I did read a lot of urban fiction novels this month which usually take me a bit longer to read.
- I did read 2 books that will count towards my Blogger Shame challenge. It feels really good to finally get some of these older ARCs read.

- It was really a pretty quiet month. I actually hung out at home with my husband during our vacation and did a few projects around the house.
- I am going to have to buy a new larger wardrobe and it is the Girl Scouts fault! Seriously, what do they put in these cookies that make them so hard to turn down? Oh well, I don’t even want to tell you how many boxes of cookies I ate this month. My family can’t even eat these cookies so I am the only one at fault. I am going to try to working on eating more fruit and fewer cookies during the month of April!
- My oldest dog, Cookie, who is 12 had a few issues in March. She has lost some weight that is unexplained and was pretty sick for a bit. She seemed fine when I left for work but when I came home she had vomited all over the house (only on the carpeted areas of course). She has been on meds for the past bit and we are hoping it isn’t anything really serious.
- While I was on vacation, I bought a new bookcase! I also moved some furniture and now have an area with some of my bookshelves together. I sometimes just want to stare at all the pretty books ๐

How was your month? Do you have any reading or blogging goals for April?
I really need to find time for some older ARCs that have gotten lost in the shuffle but I have so many I need to get to. I need to stop requesting and accepting but I can't!! We only got two boxes of Girl Scout cookies this year and I should have bought more. They are so good!!!! hope your dog is ok and feeling better. Have a great April!
I wish I had room to fit in another bookcase! The ones I have are groaning under the strain! I have sympathy about the cookies…when I start with them I can't stop! I plan on a few white chocolate chip bad boys tonight while I read…Here's to a great reading total for us both in April!
I didn't even buy girl scout cookies this year because I was afraid! Yay for the new bookcase! We're in a holding pattern right now while we play musical rooms but I have plans for more bookcases soon! Until then all my books are in storage bins. I hope Cookie is feeling better and that it's nothing serious. Have a great week!
I only ate one box of Girl Scout cookies. I was so proud of myself. I hope your dog feels better soon. My dogs only throw up on the carpet, too.

I hope your dog is getting better. I was a GS leader for years, and I guess that's why I never buy the cookies. LOL. I cannot wait to hear what you think of Flame in the Mist. I am dying to read it. Ahdieh's writing is so beautiful.

I hope your dog will be better. Happy reading!
Good for the quiet month even if blogging and reading weren't as much as you would have liked. Oh cool! Bookcases. I love seeing books on the shelves looking pretty, too. I do hope your dog is feeling better. So hard for the mature ones when they get sick.
That really does feel good getting to the blogger shame ones. I'm working hard on that goal, too.
Have a great April, Carole!
I hope Cookie will feel better, Carole!
I think when I have time off from work, I get a lot less structured when it comes to my time management. It's like I think I have all the time in the world, so I can just relax ๐
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading ๐

I also got Flame in the Mist! I'm really excited to start that one. It sounds really good, and I'm a sucker for a great cover! I hope your dog starts to feel better!
I have never had girl scout cookies, but I am curious. Can they really be that good? ๐
It really does sound like you had a great month of reading and blogging in March, Carole! I still have a house full of cookies since we were selling them this year–and I bought quite a few boxes. Ugh. I'm going on vacation this summer and I really wanted to lose weight. Balancing cookies and weight loss is very difficult. All this to say, I understand your struggles with the Girl Scout cookies. I heard once that Christmas, Thanksgiving and Girl Scout Cookie season are the number one weight gaining times of year.
I do hope Cookie's health improves. I am sorry you've been having to deal with that. We love them so much and would do anything for them just about. It's hard to see them suffer. My senior cat has health issues and I worry about him. He's such a loving kitty.
I hope you have a good week and a great month of April!
Oh no on the herd babe! I hope the meds kick in and she's feeling good soon. Awful when you don't know quite what's going on. Good thoughts for April!
Great month you had! Those Anne Bishop books look really interesting! I hope you have a great month in April!

Yay for new bookshelves and peaceful weekends as well. And 12 books is still a lot! It's four times as many as I read this month, hehehe :3 I went a little off from my usual blogging schedule too, but I am hoping to get back onto it soon.
I'm so excited to hear your thoughts on Flame in the Mist, I can't wait to read it!

So sorry about your pup! I'm hoping to hear better news in your wrap up for April. i also have a 12 year old golden retriever who is slowing down considerably now, though still healthy. We are blessed. You had such great numbers for March. Great job!
