Stacking the Shelves #72

Posted June 3, 2017 by Carole in Stacking the Shelves / 20 Comments

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality
I had a really good week.  Reading was slow but the Build a Bear outing for my niece and nephew’s 3rd birthday was a huge success.  We followed it up with a nice lunch out with family so it was a really good day.  I only had a four day work week but it seemed long for some reason.

Digital Books

Physical Forces by D.D. Ayres (NetGalley)
A New Leash on Life by Debbie Burns (NetGalley)
Fan the Flames by Katie Ruggle (Kindle Purchase)
Gone Too Deep by Katie Ruggle (Kindle Purchase)
In Safe Hands by Katie Ruggle (Kindle Purchase)
Play Dead by Harlan Coben (Kindle Purchase)
I had a couple of widgets that I decided to click during the last weekend.  I must have been in a mood for dog related books.  I picked up the 3 books in Katie Ruggle’s Search and Resuce series that I didn’t have since they were on sale for $0.99 each.  I love Harlan Coben’s books so I bought Play Dead when I saw it for $1.99.  Gotta love a bargain!
What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. Aww! I just love kids' first experience at Build a Bear! I remember mine was at a birthday party and I thought it was so cool! The stuffed animals were really good quality ones too!

Nice new reads! They're all new to me but I hope you love them all!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. I am intrigued by the Kate Ruggle books. Awh the build a bear sounds fun I swear paw protrol is everywhere lol all the kids in work love it. Have a great week.

  3. I love Build a Bear parties! The Tornado is just a touch too old for it and that makes me sad. So many great books this week. I really want to read Katie Ruggle and Harlan Coben.

  4. OMG BABIES. 😀 😀 😀 😀 Well, toddlers. I loooove baby pictures! Is that weird? I'm always heckling my older friends for baby pictures. Cute kids!

I see someone is going to be reading a lot of Katie Ruggle! I've not read any of her books but I feel like I would like them. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous weekend, Carole. =)

  5. Ah, cute build a bear projects. I can see why they loved it.

Yay, you got the rest of the S&R series on sale. If you didn't see it, there is a freebie epilogue for the series, too, After the End.

    Enjoy your books, Carole!

  6. I think the last Build A Bear store in my city closed down last year. I remember my daughter having a great time there when she was about your niece's and nephew's age. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy all the books that you couldn't resist this week. 🙂

    Happy reading!

  7. Awww, the kids look like they're really having a blast.
and oohhh, you've good new books. Can't wait to find out which one's your favorite 😉

  8. I love short weeks but I don't know what it is, they always seem LONGER to me! Glad you had a good week. I haven't read Harlan Coben but one of these days…

  9. Those short weeks sometimes do seem longer than the regular ones . . . I don't know why that is either.

Love the photos of your niece and nephew with their new friends. 🙂 So cute! My daughter likes Paw Patrol too, although she's not as into them as she once was.

Your new books look so good! I have been wanting to read Katie Ruggle's series.

I hope you have a great week, Carole! Enjoy your new books!

  10. Ah, they look so happy with their little stuffed animals, you're such a good auntie 🙂

I haven't read Play Dead yet, I'm going to have to look into it since I do enjoy Harlan Corben.

Enjoy your new reads and have a wonderful week.
