June 2017
June was a little crazy. My daughter attended 2 different camps and we had to do a lot of traveling to get her where she needed to be. I did get quite a bit of reading in since the house was a bit quieter than usual.

Blogger Thoughts
- I had another great reading month and was able to finish 17 books. I read 13 ebooks and 4 audiobooks. I enjoyed most of the books that I read this month with lots of 4 star reads. I did have a couple of books that were disappointing but overall a good reading month.
- I posted 28 days during the month of June with 18 reviews being posted. I am working really hard to review books as soon as I can after finishing them instead of letting myself get behind.
- I did add a few new ARCs to my huge pile this month. I keep telling myself that I am not going to take anymore books but they all look so good. I have no willpower.
- I did a reasonable job in terms of visiting other blogs around the web. I always would like to do more but considering the other things that I had going on, I think I did okay.
Outside of the Blog
- My daughter was accepted into the jazz band program that she auditioned for last month. This will be a wonderful opportunity for her although it will mean that I will spend one night every week or two sitting while she has practice. It is a good thing that I am a reader π
- We are starting to have some pretty hot days. As I get older, I am finding that I like the heat less and less. So far, I have been able to tolerate the weather we have had.
- We are still walking the dogs on a daily basis even on the hot days. We often hear things like “Are all of these dogs yours?” or “You brought the whole pack with you”. I really don’t think that having 3 dogs is any worse than when we had 2 except I need help walking them.
- I was able to take a random day off of work this month. It was really nice to stay home in my comfy clothes and not have to worry about work related things.

How was your month? Do you have any reading or blogging goals for July?
Congrats to your daughter, that sounds amazing π And lots and lots of reviews! We often consider getting a third dog, but I have one very difficult anxious dog and I don't think I'd be able to give him the attention he needs if I add a third! Have a great July!
Congratulations to your daughter for making it into the jazz band! It sounds like a busy month but you still manage all this blogging and reading and I marvel at how you manage to do it! It also sounds nice to have some warmer weather as well ^.^
It sounds like a busy month. Iβm impressed that you got so much reading done. Congrats to your daughter for getting accepted to the camp. I used to have 3 dogs, and people would say those same things to me. They also said, βWow, youβve really got your hands full.β
Aj @ Read All The Things!
I guess 3 is a crazy amount to some then, weird
You did have a good June and that was so neat that you were able to take your daughter to such special activities and have her get into the Jazz band. Good reading opportunities for sure. π Looks like you have a good balance going right now with everything. Kudos for walking even when its hot. That is my downfall. I am not a heat person and make excuses.
Have a great July, Carole!
Congratulations to your daughter. I remember those days of sitting outside practices. I was a teacher back then, so I graded work. Believe it or not, sometimes I miss it. I don't remember ever liking the heat. I don't like the cold either. I need to live where it is between 65 – 80 all year. I make such a point of writing my reviews right away. If I don't I never will. Example – A Million Junes. I loved the book, but it was not a review book, so I put it off, and yep, no review written. I love having that one day off that is in the middle of the work week, not a holiday, and I have no obligations. That's the best. Enjoy all week!
Looks like a great reading month! So sad you were disappointed by Final Girls. I totally loved the book!
Sounds like you had a good reading month and I think you've also donne well with your blogging. I need to get caught up with my reviews this week as I've been slack with it the last few weeks.
Congratulations to your daughter! I bet she's excited. I envy you your walks with your dogs, even on the hot days. I miss having a dog sometimes. We do have our cats though, and they are great companions.
I hope you have a great week, Carole! I'm actually sitting out on my patio, can you believe it? It's not too hot yet and there's a nice breeze. I should do this more often . . .
it looks like you have had a pretty good reading month especially with everything going on in your personal life too. I don't mind the heat which is weird because ten years ago I hated it. But now I just love it. It looks like you had some great books read here. I really enjoyed reading Dirty As well. Kylie Scott's writing just works for me.
YOU DID SO WELL! This is such good stuff and I hope you are super super proud! I hope July is an even more successful and awesome month for you. π
Have a fantastic week (and month), Carole! =)

Congratulations on finishing so many books!
That's some great reading! Yay for the jazz band. Congrats to the kidlet! I'm with ya on the heat. No. Thanks. (so glad we have AC!)
I've also been trying to make a habit of reviewing books as soon as I finish them. That way they are fresh in my mind. I try not to let myself move onto a new book until I have it down….it doesn't always work that way..but I'm trying! lol! You had a great reading month! Hope you have another great month!
Wow, you are a very productive blogger, Carole. I will never be able to read that many. So proud of you. π
Happy reading and have a wonderful week, my friend. π
My daughter played in her high school jazz band and loved it! I have Final Girls coming my way and I want to read the Jill Shavis book you reviewed. I love the cover too!
I hope you have better luck with Final Girls than I did. I love the Jill Shalvis book.
I hear good things about "A Man Called Ove"! Thanks for the post!
I really enjoyed that one! Thanks for stopping by my blog π
