January Wrap Up

January 2021
January held a few changes.  We sent our daughter back to college for a new semester and our nest is empty once again.  Some of the things that we put on order months ago started to come in.  We have new furniture in our house and our fence was installed.
Otherwise, we were pretty boring.  We walked the dogs around the block approximately half a million times.  Sometimes in the snow.  We watched some football and I read a few books 🙂

  1. I'm all for boring. I don't need the excitement. LOL I thought In the Penalty Box was really sweet. Blindsided by Denault is on my radar since it's tied to one of my favorite Sarina Bowen series. I'll be interested to see what you think of it.

  2. My oldest daughter is a freshman in college, too. Her university is about two hours away, so we're trying to balance checking up on her and giving her space. Ha ha. It's not easy!

And I'm with Tanya – excitement is highly overrated in my opinion. Give me boring any day. LOL.

  3. Glad you got a quiet month to enjoy your new furnishings and books. Nice start for your challenges and doing well moving books off your own pile.

    Have a good February, Carole.

  4. After the year we all had, I was happy to have a pretty boring January too. The only really exciting thing was welcoming our new puppy into our home at the end of the month. Naturally that is making February a bit more exciting. I had forgotten how much puppies love to play!

  5. I am excited for a new Victoria Denault book. It's been a while. I loved Amelia! I hope you do too. The cover of When Harry Met Minnie is too cute. Hope all your books are fabulous

  6. Your January sounds nice over all, Carole. I'll take calm and ordinary over too much excitement any day. And look at all the great books you read! I hope you have a great February!
