I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.

My Life

I worked a lot this week. I worked my full-time job Monday through Friday and worked at the bookstore Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening, and Saturday all day. I am back at the bookstore again today for a long shift. I have to admit that I am tired. Blogging is another part-time job and I am doing my best to keep up but I am not always up to writing reviews in the little bit of free time I have.

I am taking a few days off from both jobs this week and cannot wait. I won’t have to work anywhere on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday which feels wonderful. I have a couple of things planned and am celebrating a milestone birthday but I hope to enjoy some quiet time curled up with a good book.

How was your week?

What I’m Reading

I finished 4 books this week. I really enjoyed The Trouble with Twelfth Grave by Darynda Jones and can’t believe I have almost finished the series. I wanted to listen to something short so I grabbed That One Night by Emily Rath but I didn’t feel like I got the closure that I needed so I decided to jump right into the first full book in the series, Pucking Around by Emily Rath, which was a bit more than I bargained for since it was an incredibly long why choose romance. I wanted something very different for my next listen so I decided to jump into A Haunting in Hialeah Gardens by Raul Palma which held my attention.

I have read 30% of Bad Girls Break Bridges by S.L. Choi and hope to spend some quality time reading this week.

Books Added

Finding Mr. Write by Kelley Armstrong (Publisher); You Belong to Me by Mary Higgins Clark (Publisher); Ghosts of Honolulu by Mark Harmon & Leon Carroll, Jr. (Publisher)

  1. Glad you’re able to get some time off for the holiday! I think that’s one thing that’s always held me back from working part time at a bookstore as well. It takes up so much of the little free time one has. But I can still see the benefits too. Hope you enjoy your break that’s for sure!

Nice new reads! Those are all new to me ones but I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. I’m glad you have some time off from both your jobs this week. And happy birthday! I hope it’s a good one, and that you have a restful and relaxing and fun Thanksgiving. 😀

  3. Well I am thrilled to hear you will be taking some time off after working 5 days at each job over the last 7 days. I loved Iron Flame. Interesting about Finding Mr. Write but Kelley Armstrong is a major talent.

  4. Whew! You did rack up the hours this week. I don’t blame you for needing time off and time to yourself let alone to celebrate your birthday and the holiday. 🙂

Have a good Thanksgiving week, Carole!

  5. Sounds like you deserve a break. I love Kelley Armstrong and that book looks fun. She writes so many different genres and she must write constantly! Hope you have a great break!

  6. I’m glad you’re getting some much-deserved time off this week! We had a family wedding out of town last week and will be traveling to the lake cabin for Thanksgiving this week. I’m excited to spend time with family, but I have to admit I wish I could stay home. The Holidays are here whether we’re ready or not!

  7. So happy to hear you’re getting some time off! I hope you enjoy it and are able to recharge!

I didn’t know Kelley Armstrong had a romance coming out. I’m excited for anything she writes.

  8. I imagine things are going to be insane for you for the next 6 weeks or so with all the holiday stuff! I hope you’re able to get some rest this week and are able to relax and get some reading in!
