I am really excited to participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality.
My Life
I started the week out with a bit of a headache that didn’t seem to want to go away. By Tuesday, I was in serious migraine territory. I called in sick to my part-time job early in the day but wanted to make it through my shift at my full-time job. At noon, I couldn’t take it anymore and went home to put myself to bed. I felt much better on Wednesday. The rest of the week was a bit of a blur since I found myself behind in nearly every aspect of my life.
We did have a bit of excitement this week when we decided to book a trip to Hawaii. I am so excited! It has been a long time since we have been on any kind of vacation and way too long since my husband and I went somewhere without the kids. We will celebrate our 25th anniversary this year so I feel like this is the right time to take a big trip. We spent some of our free time trying to decide what we want to do while we are there since I want to get a car reserved for a portion of the trip. I have a feeling that after 10 days in Hawaii, I won’t want to come back! We are going at the end of July which isn’t too long of a wait.
How was your week?
What I’m Reading
I finished 4 audiobooks this week, which is a lot for me lately. I really enjoyed Five Broken Blades by Mai Corland and thought the audiobook was well done. I have been a huge fan of Harlan Coben for years so I downloaded Think Twice as soon as it was available and had a great time with it. Christina Lauren is always a good time so I grabbed The Paradise Problem next and love it. The Fireborne Blade by Charlotte Bond was a quick listen that kept me on my toes.
I don’t know if I read anything with my eyes this past week but I am determined to finishThe Night Ends with Fire by K.X. Song soon.

Sorry about the migraine, but Hawaii! How exciting and a lovely way to celebrate such a big milestone with your husband.
Ooh nice! Hawaii sounds exciting! I hope you and your husband have a fantastic trip! I’m dying for a vacation myself. I haven’t had a fun trip in what feels like ages! Lol. Sorry to hear you had a killer migraine! Those are never fun, but glad to hear you were doing better the next day! Hopefully it was just the one time thing!
Nice new reads! Those are mostly new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

That’s terrible about the migraine. But hooray for the Hawaii trip! I love planning a getaway and it’s always exciting to have a trip to look forward to.
Sorry about the migraines. My daughter has been battling hers all month, up and down but never gone. That’s exciting about Hawaii. We did 10 days about 20 years ago and spent 5 days on one island and 5 days on another. It was amazing. I hope you feel better this week!
