Stacking the Shelves #198

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.

My Life
This week has been a welcome change of pace.  We were able to leave work for the Thanksgiving holiday at lunchtime on Wednesday.  I really needed a few days off and I must say that I have been enjoying myself.  My daughter has been home from college this week and I have been spending a lot of time hanging out with her and shopping for bargains.

My daughter and her friends celebrated Friendsgiving at our house on Tuesday and we had quite the crowd.  My husband and I just left them alone but it was a rather noisy evening that lasted until the wee hours of the night.

We started our Black Friday shopping at one of the local Half Price Books in my area.  They had a promotion that gave the first 100 customers a gift card with everyone receiving $5 except one lucky winner who would get $100.  My daughter won the $100 gift card and we had a great time picking out books together.  We may have even stopped at another bookstore before the day was over to get a few more books.  We bought an obnoxious number of books and clothes but had a lot of fun.

Books Added

Golden in Death by J.D. Robb (Publisher)
My One and Only Cowboy by A.J. Pine (Publisher)

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. oh wow….congrats on the $100 in spending at Half Price Books….that will get you a good amount too. I wish we had one of those here.

Hope you had the best time for Thanksgiving!!!

  2. That is so cool that she won! In years past when I was off that was my first stop. Sadly never won, even when I tried to place myself somewhat in the middle of the crowd! Lol. I had to work this year unfortunately which was a drag because they didn't have anything for me to do so I surfed the web a bit and did a little bit of shopping online! Lol.

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones, I hope you enjoy them!
