November 2019 Wrap Up

November 2019
Time seems to move faster and faster.  I can’t believe that it is already December but here we are.  November was a good month.  I read 14 books during the month even though I listened to fewer audiobooks than I usually do.  I did focus my reading on books that I had for review but I made sure to work in one past due review book and a couple of books from my shelf.

I had a few days off work during the month which was a much needed break.  I had my youngest daughter home from college for a week for Thanksgiving and was able to see my oldest on the holiday.  I did spend too much of my time shopping for books during the month but I am not even sorry because they look so pretty on my shelves 🙂

My goals for December are to somehow get myself ready for the holidays, read some good books including a few review copies, and enjoy my family.  I think I can manage at least 2 out of the 3.

Books Read
I have been doing a terrible job of sticking with my plan of reading from rotating categories this year lately so I decided to abandon the plan.  I do still want to get some older books read and work in books from my shelf.  I am working on a plan for next year that I hope will keep things fun.

  1. Getting ready for the holidays is always a tricky bit because there is so much to do. I hope it all goes well and your end of the year does too. 14 is a great count! I also read a bit less than usual last month as well…

  2. What a great month and I'm glad you got to spend time with your daughter. I need to grab Laughter at the Academy and thanks to you, I've now added Dead Before Dying to my list too. I bet you have a great reading month in December.

  3. At this point, I have abandoned all plans, haha. I don't have any review books for December, so I'm trying to catch up AND get ahead. I never regret buying books! Like you said, they look so pretty on my shelves. 😉 Glad you were able to see your kiddos!

  4. November went by quickly for me, too. I did buy a pile of books during Black Friday say after a month of clicking on way too many review books. Guess I'll be behind again. LOL

Hopefully, you'll reach all three of your December goals. Have a good month, Carole!

  5. I've tried various things through the year with varying success but I think I'll stick with mood reading for now! I had a pretty good November and I'm glad you did too!

  6. Congrats on reading 14 books. November wasn't a good month reading wise for me. But the ones I did read were pretty great. You have some really.good sounding books.coming up to read. Enjoy!

  7. Looks like you read some pretty great books this month. My reading goals for December are to read 16 books to meet my Goodreads goal so we'll see how that goes. Hope you have a great December.

  8. wow 14 books! thats an awesome accomplishment 😀 congrats.
all the books you read look really interesting! So hopefully that kept you going.
Hoping December is good to you.

  9. I think you are doing really well with your challenges. I know I have felt behind all the time since the move this summer. I don't have as many ARCs, blog tours or stuff in December so I hope to catch up a bit on reading.

  10. Shopping for books is always a great way to spend time 🙂 I'm surprised myself this month with my purchases, I didn't go overboard. Fourteen books is wonderful. Enjoy your December and enjoy time with family.
