Why did I add The Passage to my bookshelf?
I have had this book for a long time. I actually have a copy of this book in hardcover, audio, and on my Kindle. I should probably read it, huh? I think that one of the things that have held me back is that these are very long books and I have a feeling that I would want to jump into the rest of the trilogy once I got started. A lot of my friends seemed to really like this book, some loved it, and some hated it. Hopefully, it will work well for me once I get around to reading it.
A Quick Update
I do apologize for my continued absence. I actually have read just a little and have had some luck with audiobooks while at work so I think I will be back sometime soon. Things are moving along. As I write this Wednesday night, I have been busy interviewing real estate agents to list my old house and think that I have found the right one for us today. Workers are busy at our old house refinishing the hardwood floors, painting, and adding some finishing touches like new baseboards. My husband and I still have a fair amount of work to do ourselves but I expect that our house will be ready to hit the market in about 2 weeks.
We are exhausted. My husband and I have done a ton of physical labor, and have spent a small fortune. We are just taking it one day at a time and just doing what we can each day.
What are your thoughts? Have you read this book? Would you recommend it to others?

You're really doing great with all this work. You must be knackered! I know I DNFed it many years back but I don't remember why or anything about it! I hope you enjoy it when you read it!
I have been eyeing The Passage for a long time, too, but the lengthy books seem to get passed over for "later" on my TBR pile. I hope you enjoy it when you get to it.

i love woods, forests and trees, so the cover caught my attention. sounds like you would need to have a binge reading session to get through the series. i plan them carefully so i can read through the series in its entirety. sounds like the house situation is moving along nicely. things are usually more complicated and take more time than originally anticipated. i try to tell mr wonderful that when he thinks…oh, it will only take ten minutes. try a couple of hours. LOL i usually blog ahead with books from the backlog, but…i got behind. 🙂 i'll be working on that today

I've heard fab stuff about this series, too. I know what you mean about being intimidated about longer books right now.
We'll be glad to see you again but take the time you need. This book sounds interesting but I think long books take some planning to fit into the schedule.

You must have gigantic muscles now from all the labor you have been doing. I hope you are at least getting to enjoy that pool a bit. You have this book in so many formats. I feel like you are really meant to read it.

I remember this book being *everywhere* when it released years ago but I never did read it. I hope it's a hit for you if you do decide to give it a go.
Seems like maybe there's an end in sight with all the work! I'm sure it will be such a relief to get the house on the market and sold!

I've gone back and forth about this one, too! It seems to have mixed reviews, but it sounds good. Hope you get to it being you have the audio, e-book, and hardcover copy, lol!
