June 2022 Wrap Up

June 2022

June was quite the month.   Covid hit our house and I ended up being its first victim.  I was sick for about a week with my husband being ill the next week.  My daughter somehow avoided getting sick so that is a good thing.  We have wanted to get a new backsplash in our kitchen for the past year when we took an old fan out that left a hole in our backsplash area.  We finally got that installed this month and I am happy with the results.  We are planning to take a break from home improvement for a while, with the exception of some painting we still need to finish.

We started the month going to a wedding and ended the month planning one.  My daughter doesn’t want to wait so we are doing things quickly.  In the next couple of weeks, we’ll be sending out invitations and dress shopping.  My reading was down in the month of June and I would predict that it will probably remain that way until the wedding is in our past.  I took some breaks on Instagram in June so I didn’t see a lot of growth in the month.  I am closing out June with 3,325 followers.

  1. How fun. From attending a wedding to planning one. That’s so sweet that your daughter doesn’t want to wait. Exciting times at your home!

  2. June was quite a month for you indeed. So sorry to hear about being hit with the covid. I’m glad you guys are doing ok and now planning for a wedding, sounds really exciting 🙂

  3. You had quite an eventful month. I’m sorry to hear that you had to fight through COVID, but I’m happy you’ve made a solid recovery. Weddings are both exciting and stressful. My brother gets married in December, after a couple of COVID induced delays, so the entire family is in the thick of planning it right now.

  4. I am really excited about that Jessie Mihalik book, I have been loving her sci fi books. I am glad that Soul Taken was such a solid read for you. I am sorry that COVID affected your home this month, its not fun dealing with.

I hope July is a great month for you and your family!

  5. Congrats to your daughter! And sorry to hear about Covid. That’s no fun for sure. Isn’t it weird how that thing is so contagious but sometimes people even in the same household don’t get it? We had that happen too…

The Change looks intriguing, I’ve seen that one popping up on a few blogs. I liked the Jessie Mihalik book I read a while ago…

  6. I’m so curious about What Moves the Dead as I love Poe! I’m hoping to get some more books off my shelves read this month. I’m also reading a few Christmas-themed books for Christmas in July. 🙂

  7. I am sorry to hear COVID came for a visit there. It’s visiting us now. So much for our travel plans this next week. Oh well. Congratulations though to your daughter! I hope she has a lovely wedding! Definitely something to look forward to. I hope you are enjoying your reading and have a great weekend, Carole.

  8. I don’t envy you the wedding planning but I hope it’s an absolutely wonderful day. I love that it’ll be a short engagement. So much more fun than those massive weddings that take more than a year to plan. I hope you are feeling better and that you have a wonderful restful week.
